John Donovan from Starcross has posted the following easy and cheap solution to aid righting the Hurricane after a capsize.

Sew two fabric loops (either by hand or get your sailmaker to do it) on the underside of the trampoline on each side about halfway back. You will need a couple of lengths of 4mm cord. Whip an eye into each end of the cord and run them from the bridle wires at the bow to shackles on the rear corners of the trampoline between the hulls, passing through the pickup point of the dolphin striker wire on the main beam.

The ropes are tensioned by a shock cord under the trampoline attached to the 4mm rope and running through twisted shackles attached to the fabric loops. Rather than end the cord at the rear corners of the trampoline,  John also made a foot loop in the rope should he end up at the stern. In this case the whipped loop is about 300mm with a rope stopper on it to prevent it passing through the shackle on the tramp. For ease I also used a couple of mini shackles at the bridle rather than undoing the main shackle.
